Whitney Music Musician's Showcase Application Form

2011 Whitney Music Showcase at the Kandiyohi County Fair, August 13, 2011 1:00-4:00 PM

To help recognize musical talent of Kandiyohi county and surrounding areas, Whitney Music presents the 2011 Whitney Music Showcase.
Auditions will be held at Whitney Music 6:00—7:00 pm, Monday, July 11, 18, 25 August 1, 8.
Please pre-register with Whitney Music prior to the audition by either mailing this application or bringing it to Whitney Music store. Auditions will be assigned on a “ first-come, first-served ” basis.

Audition requirements:

• Applicants must be willing and able to perform at the Whitney Music Showcase at the Kandiyohi County Fair on August 13th during the specified time and participating in the finale of the show.
• Please audition with two prepared pieces ( vocal and/or instrumental ) that you would like to perform.
• Performers will receive a t-shirt and a Whitney Music / Jazz N Java gift certificate with $20 value.

Master Gardener Scarecrow Contest

Master Gardeners of Kandiyohi County have established "Butterfly Garden" as the display garden theme for
the 2011 Kandiyohi County Fair.

They invite all individuals or groups to design, construct and enter their fourth Scarecrow Contest

• Judging for 1 prize of $25.00, will be by people's choice during the fair.
• Entries are encouraged to follow in some way the garden theme.
• Entries will be received at the display garden on entry day, Tuesday, August 9th.
• All prizes will be awarded and pick up should be arranged before Fair closure.
• Entries are on a volunteer basis.
• Master Gardeners will not be responsible for entries.

Here is an opportunity for everyone to enter! The choice is yours!

The only requirements are:
1. Use a 'mix" but "doctor" it up to your choosing.
2. Bring your recipe on a card, telling what ingredients were used
and the method.
This enables you to use any of the mixes. Maybe there's a new mix on the
market. Why not create something new? Bring it to the Fair and win prizes!
