Open Auditions will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at the Kandiyohi County Fair, Willmar, Minnesota, between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
All contestants who advance from the auditions must perform at the Kandiyohi County Fair/State Fair Talent Contest on Saturday, Aug 10, 2013 at 4pm. The first, second and third place winners from each of the three divisions will be asked to perform in an encore show following the announcement of winners at approximately 6:30pm that evening.
The Kandiyohi County Fair division first place winners are considered to be semi-finalists for the Minnesota State Fair Talent Contest. Names of first place winners will be released to the State Fair Talent Contest committee immediately following the Kandiyohi County Fair. The State Fair will then contact first place winners directly to provide further information and make necessary arrangements.

The Great Frontier Bull Riding Company produces Dirt Kickin' Wicked Good Bull Riding events throughout MN. During the two hours of wicked good bull riding we squeeze in hilarious clown skits and kids' events.
Great Frontier Bull Riding Company leases some of the best bucking stock in the state. Kowing what it takes in front of the chutes and in the back pens brings the bull riding event full circle. The show is non-stop with unexpected wrecks between cowboys and bulls...but don't fear, Great Frontier Bull Riding Co. brings two of the best bull fighters to save our cowboys from hang-ups or even worse.

2013 Whitney Music Showcase at the Kandiyohi County Fair, August 10, 2013 1:00-3:00 PM
To help recognize musical talent of Kandiyohi county and surrounding areas, Whitney Music presents the 2013 Whitney Music Showcase. Auditions will be held at Whitney Music 6:00—7:00 pm, Monday, July 8, 15, 22, 29 and August 5. Please pre-register with Whitney Music prior to the audition by either mailing this application or bringing it to Whitney Music store. Auditions will be assigned on a “ first-come, first-served ” basis.
Audition requirements:
Applicants must be willing and able to perform at the Whitney Music Showcase at the Kandiyohi County Fair on August 10th during the specified time and participating in the finale of the show.
Please audition with two prepared pieces ( vocal and/or instrumental ) that you would like to perform.
Performers will receive a t-shirt & an invitation to perform at Jazz N Java "The Auditions"
“Just Down the Road” - Historic Churches of Minnesota: Doug Ohman will take you on a journey around Minnesota exploring the history of many of the states oldest churches. He shares stories and experiences from his travels. You will meet many of the people that Doug has met in his quest of photographing nearly 2500 churches. The Kandiyohi County Histroical Society will also have a display featuring historical relics and photos of Kandiyohi County Churches.
Presentations daily in the Log Cabin.
Old West Society
The Old West Society will be a part of the Kandiyohi County Fair this year providing educational and historical re-enactments from the period 1866-1899. The re-enactments generally fall into one of two categories: first, they provide first-person re-enactments of the way of life in Minnesota, and states further west including cooking,camping, daily life on the prairie, men's and women's clothing, and historically correct western arena arts re-enactments; second, they provide live-action re-enactments of popular shows of the time including shootouts, short plays, and/or other staged entertainment. Come and enjoy the Old West Society at the 2013 Kandiyohi County Fair.
